Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing and developing scalable backend applications, microservices, and RESTful APIs using Python and modern backend frameworks. You will play a key role in building high-performance, secure, and cloud-native solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices using Python.
- Build and integrate robust RESTful APIs and web services.
- Develop solutions using modern Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, and FastAPI.
- Design and implement secure, high-performance, and reliable software architectures.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases to develop efficient data models and optimize database performance.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to deliver business requirements.
- Implement best practices for code quality, testing, security, and performance optimization.
- Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless application delivery.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and its ecosystem.




- Hands-on experience with Django, Flask, and/or FastAPI.
- Solid understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming (OOP), and architectural patterns such as Microservices and MVC.
- Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Expertise in relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions.
- Robust understanding of software testing methodologies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Proficiency with Git/GitHub and collaborative development workflows.
- Good understanding of API security, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
- Experience in application performance tuning, caching, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
