Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Leadership and Administration

- Strengthen academic delivery, curriculum implementation, and teaching–learning practices within Pharmacy Sciences.
- Contribute to academic planning, governance, policy implementation, and institutional development.
- Supervise faculty performance, academic activities, workload planning, and departmental operations.




- Establish effective systems, processes, and accountability mechanisms.
- Work closely with university leadership to achieve academic and institutional objectives.

2. Research Excellence and Innovation

- Demonstrate and promote quality research publications in reputed, peer-reviewed journals.
- Guide faculty members and research scholars in research methodology, scientific writing, publications, and research project development.
- Promote funded research, patents, interdisciplinary collaboration, consultancy, and industry-sponsored projects.
- Foster a research-oriented culture focused on innovation, research integrity, and measurable outcomes.
- Encourage collaborations with pharmaceutical industries, healthcare institutions, and research organizations.

3. Faculty Development and Mentoring

- Mentor faculty members in teaching effectiveness, research productivity, and career development.

4. Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance





- Ensure adherence to applicable Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), UGC, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to accreditation, academic audits, institutional assessments, and continuous quality improvement.
- Maintain robust systems for academic documentation, research records, faculty credentials, and regulatory reporting.
- Monitor applicable regulatory developments and support timely implementation of relevant guidelines.

5. Institutional Growth and Academic Reputation

- Develop and implement strategies to improve academic quality, research output, visibility, and institutional standing.

Eligibility and Experience

- Ph.D. in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences from a recognized university.
- Qualifications and experience meeting the applicable regulatory requirements for the position.
- Substantial teaching, research, and postgraduate research supervision experience.
- Demonstrated research achievements through quality publications, funded projects, patents, or other relevant scholarly contributions.
- Experience in academic administration, faculty supervision, departmental operations, or institutional quality initiatives.
