- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable business insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Develop optimized semantic models using dimensional modelling techniques, including star schemas, fact/dimension structures, and appropriate relationship design.
- Create advanced DAX measures and calculated columns for KPIs, time intelligence, financial calculations, trend analysis, and complex business requirements.
- Build efficient data transformation and preparation solutions using Power Query (M), applying reusable and maintainable transformation patterns.
- Connect Power BI solutions to multiple enterprise data sources such as SQL Server, Oracle, Azure SQL, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Excel, APIs, and cloud-based platforms.
- Implement appropriate Power BI connectivity strategies, including Import, DirectQuery, composite models, and Direct Lake, based on performance, freshness, and architectural requirements.
- Develop and maintain Power BI Paginated Reports for operational reporting, customer statements, invoices, and other pixel-perfect PDF or print-oriented reporting requirements.
- Implement security requirements using Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) to ensure users have appropriate access to enterprise data.
- Optimize report, DAX, and semantic-model performance using tools and techniques such as Performance Analyzer, DAX Studio, query optimization,



model optimization, and aggregation strategies.
- Design scalable data models and reporting architectures capable of supporting large datasets, incremental refresh, reusable semantic models, and enterprise analytics workloads.
- Publish and manage Power BI content across development, test/UAT, and production environments, following controlled deployment and release-management practices.
- Configure and support Power BI Service capabilities including workspaces, apps, gateways, refresh schedules, subscriptions, permissions, and deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs, KPIs, and reporting solutions.
- Establish development standards and perform code/design reviews, documentation, troubleshooting, data validation, source-to-report reconciliation, and production support to maintain reporting quality.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business problems and translate them into effective BI and reporting solutions.
- Should be independent and show strong ownership and accountability, taking responsibility for solutions from requirement gathering and design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Demonstrate a continuous-learning mindset, staying current with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, DAX, data modeling, visualization, and up-to-date BI engineering practices.
