Responsibilities

Senior Platform Engineer (Python / AWS):

- Codebase Mastery &
- Architecture: Profile and optimize distributed computational pipelines and network topology models in collaboration with domain algorithm owners. Comprehend multi-stage ingestion, physics, and economic metric pipelines while managing distributed storage (S3 data lake, Delta Lake, sandbox isolation).
- Innovation Team Support &
- Optimization: Optimize SLA-aware orchestrators, yield calculations, and commitment layers. Profile GPU memory usage (RMM contexts), analyze CUDA queuing, and streamline CPU/GPU data transfers.
- Infrastructure &
- Microservice Migration: Execute containerized AWS ECS deployments migrating from Docker Compose. Design high-throughput microservices and APIs using modern asynchronous Python (FastAPI, gRPC) to coordinate routing, SLA negotiation, and contract lifecycle management. Implement event-driven services (Kafka/SQS, DynamoDB, Redis). Future need can be to move this setup into Java/Springboot Microservices architecture.
- Frontend Modernization: Rebuild legacy Streamlit dashboards (Mission Control, Scenario Studio, Experiment Lab) into React.js single-page applications.
- DevOps &
- Quality Assurance: Maintain CI/CD pipelines, write tests using PyTest, manage Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code, and ensure application logging, monitoring, and security compliance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:



Interface with stakeholders to communicate business KPIs, present technical research, and document platform architecture.

Required Skills &

- Qualifications

- Core Technical Stack: Advanced proficiency in Python 3.12+ (async/await, generators) and SQL querying (Parquet).
- Data &
- Compute: Strong experience with Pandas, NumPy, and Apache Parquet serialization.
- Containers &
- Cloud: Solid knowledge of Docker, Docker Compose, message queues, and AWS S3 cloud storage.
- Physics &
- GPU Computing: Experience with GPU memory management (RMM) and high-performance computing profiling.
- Engineering Best Practices: Proficiency with Git, Shell scripting (Bash), PyTest, and technical documentation.
- Aviation Background: Domain familiarity with aviation data/systems.
- Big Data Architecture: Expertise in big data processing frameworks and architectures, specifically employing Kappa and Lambda processing patterns for real-time and batch analytics.

Experience: 7-10 Years Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering
