You have seen your sketch turn into a product in millions of homes. At Cüraa, you will do it again, owning every recent product program from brief to production release, with no big internal team between you and the factory floor.

ABOUT CÜRAA

Cüraa started from scratch: a small team, a blank sheet, and one habit we never dropped. Pick a real kitchen problem, solve it properly, and ship it at a price India will pay. A few of the problems we have solved so far:

- The bullet mixer grinder with a steel jar: bullet-style speed and size, with a jar made for everyday Indian grinding.
- The most durable frother: the product everyone underestimates, built to last.
- Manual and electric choppers that set a new bar for the whole category.
- The knob-based induction: India's inductions came covered in buttons. Ours is simple: turn it, cook.

One kitchen problem at a time, Cüraa has reached half a million households. Our goal is 30–40 million households in the next five years, roughly 10% of India's homes. That means more categories, more launches, and products that must survive tens of millions of real kitchens: hard water, voltage swings, rough hands, and tight budgets.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a hands-on design engineer who has taken consumer durables from sketch to millions of homes. You will own a product end to end: insight, form, mechanical and electronics architecture, cost, tooling, testing and factory launch. You will work directly with factories and manufacturers, and bring in junior designers when the workload needs it.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

- The look and feel:



form, CMF, ergonomics and UX. Finish standards for plating, texturing, and painting. You set the Cüraa design language.
- The insides: layout, tolerances, snap-fits, sealing, mechanisms, PCB placement, motors, heating elements, batteries, sensors, heat management and safety. DFM/DFA from day one with EMS/ODM partners.
- The tool and the factory: steel grades, cavity count, gating, parting lines, texture specs, and their cost impact. T0/T1/T2 trials, pilots, and ramp-up. You are on the floor when a finish or assembly issue hits.
- The number: you own the BOM target. Design-to-cost from the first sketch, then value engineering and cost-downs through the product's life.
- The proof: drop, thermal, life-cycle, IP, noise and vibration testing. Golden samples, AQL and EOL testing. BIS, CE, UL and food-contact compliance. Packaging validated with transit testing.
- The real world: voltage swings, hard water, heat, humidity and price-sensitive buyers. Service-friendly assembly and spares planning. Real users test your prototypes. Design registrations and patents protect the work.

You will also find, qualify, and negotiate with vendors and tool makers, build prototypes from 3D prints to working units, and hire and guide juniors or freelancers when needed.

WHAT YOU BRING





- 7–12+ years in industrial design and product development for consumer durables
- Products launched at scale, used by millions, with clear evidence of your role and impact
- Manufacturing processes: injection molding, sheet metal, die casting, extrusion, surface finishing, assembly
- Mechanical, electronics, and tooling depth across the six areas above
- Kitchen know-how: food-safe materials, heat management, motor noise, easy cleaning
- Factories and vendors: sourcing, qualification, negotiation, timelines
- Craft: expert sketching and visualisation, CAD (SolidWorks / Fusion / Rhino / Alias), rendering (KeyShot or similar)
- User research and prototype testing, and the ability to defend design decisions to leadership and suppliers
