Key responsibilities of the Role

- Understand and comprehend the course content, assignment requirements, grading guidelines and rubrics to ensure accurate and consistent evaluation.
- Evaluate learner submissions and update grades and feedback on Learning Management Systems within the defined timelines and quality standards.
- Provide clear, constructive and actionable feedback to participants, aligned with the assignment requirements, rubrics and prescribed grading guidelines.
- Resolve grading related queries raised by learners, consulting with the Subject Matter Expert (SME), other grading team members and relevant stakeholders when necessary.
- Review and share the required corrections or suggested edits to rubrics, grading guidelines and assignment requirements based on observations and insights gathered during grading.
- Coordinate grading related activities with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of grading and a seamless learner experience.
- Be vigilant during grading for plagiarised submissions, unauthorised use of AI or other potentially non-compliant submissions and follow the prescribed academic integrity process to close the loop.
- Take ownership of grading consistency and quality through calibration, quality checks and adherence to defined grading standards, processes,



Service Level Agreements and quality guidelines.
- Manage and coordinate graders/consultants with onboarding, allocation, grading-related queries, course requirements, timelines and quality expectations.
- Identify Exemplary Submissions and award Badges as per the prescribed guidelines and processes.
- Attend kick-off calls of assigned courses to understand course requirements, scope and grading expectations, and cascade relevant information to graders/consultants.
- Monitor and take ownership of grading progress, quality, timelines and potential risks for assigned courses, and highlight concerns or escalations to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Take ownership of complex grading assignments and additional responsibilities, including data analysis, process improvement initiatives, time-sensitive projects and critical business priorities, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting and tracking of grading requirements, feedback, participant queries, course observations and other relevant operational information.
- Share relevant insights from grading, team discussions and post-course survey analysis that may help improve course content, assignments, rubrics, learner experience and overall academic delivery.
- Identify recurring grading, consultant or learner related issues and highlight opportunities for process improvement, automation and operational efficiency.
- Effectively use available technology, AI-enabled tools and internal systems, where applicable, while ensuring that academic judgment, data confidentiality and prescribed guidelines are maintained.





Skills and Qualifications

- Required work experience: about 5–7 years, preferably in teaching, academic delivery, grading, assessments and/or evaluations.
- Pursuing research work or has worked as an academic writer, research assistant, teaching assistant or in a role involving academic assessments and evaluations.
- Experience in managing or coordinating graders, consultants, faculty members or other academic resources would be preferred.
- Proficient in written and oral communication to facilitate clear, succinct and constructive feedback to participants and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to evaluate participant submissions accurately and consistently against defined rubrics and grading guidelines.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Ability to manage multiple courses, grading requirements and priorities while ensuring adherence to defined timelines, Service Level Agreements and quality standards.
- Comfortable working with Learning Management Systems, spreadsheets, reporting tools and other digital tools used for academic delivery and grading operations.
- Basic understanding of generative AI tools and their application in education, assessment or academic workflows would be an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify recurring issues, manage risks or escalations and recommend appropriate improvements.
