Role Description The Rooftop PV Site Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The role involves conducting site surveys, assessing rooftop suitability, and coordinating the structural and civil aspects of PV system installation.

The Site

Engineer will oversee installation activities, monitor quality and safety compliance, verify alignment with engineering designs, and support commissioning of rooftop solar systems.

Responsibilities also include collaborating with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely execution, resolving site-level issues, and preparing daily/weekly site reports.



The role requires regular interaction with stakeholders, adherence to local regulations and standards, and contribution to continuous improvement of installation practices.

Qualifications

- Ability to work effectively in on-site project environments, including active construction and installation sites.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, contractors, internal teams, and other stakeholders.
- Experience in quality control for solar or electrical installations, with a focus on safety, compliance, and performance standards.
- Knowledge of structural engineering principles relevant to rooftop solar mounting systems and load calculations.
- Background as a civil engineer or similar technical discipline with exposure to building structures and site work.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in civil engineering, electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field.
- Familiarity with rooftop PV system design, basic electrical concepts, and relevant codes and standards.
- Proficiency in site reporting, basic project documentation, and use of common engineering tools and software.
- Ability to travel within the Kolkata metropolitan area and work safely at heights and in outdoor conditions.
- Prior experience in solar rooftop projects or renewable energy installations is an advantage.
