Role Description The Production Manager will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules are met safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality standards.

Responsibilities include planning and organizing production activities, managing shop-floor teams, coordinating with engineering, quality, procurement, and maintenance, and monitoring resource utilization. The role involves tracking performance metrics, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, resolving production issues, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

The Production

Manager will also support capacity planning, cost control,



and adherence to customer specifications and delivery commitments. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City.

Qualifications

- Strong production planning and operations management skills, including scheduling, workflow optimization, and capacity planning.
- Experience in manufacturing of precision and heavy machined components, ideally for Oil & Gas, Wind Energy, Defense, or Marine sectors.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and certifications such as API, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, and familiarity with audits and compliance.
- Ability to lead and develop shop-floor teams, with skills in supervision, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing-related software or ERP systems for tracking production, inventory, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with focus on safety, cost control, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to prepare reports and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical discipline; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a Production Manager or similar supervisory role in a machine shop or heavy engineering setting.
