Role Description The MES Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications that support production operations at Dixon’s Chennai facility. This full-time, on-site role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing workflows, translate requirements into robust MES solutions, and integrate MES with existing enterprise systems. The role includes configuring system logic, developing back-end services, optimizing performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring data integrity across production lines.

The MES Developer will also participate in testing, documentation,



and deployment activities, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to quality and compliance standards.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in developing scalable, reliable applications.
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and system integration.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in enterprise solutions.
- Experience with MES platforms or manufacturing/industrial systems, preferably within an EMS or similar environment.
- Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to analyze production processes and translate operational requirements into technical specifications.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
- Willingness to work in office in Chennai and support occasional off-hours deployments or issue resolution as needed.
