About Fettling Automation
Fettling Automation is a Chennai-based company that brings advanced automation to foundries across India. We specialise in the post-casting stage, especially fettling. Fettling is the critical process of removing excess metal (ingates, runners, risers and flash) from raw castings to produce dispatch-ready parts. In most Indian foundries it is still done by hand, which makes it hazardous, labour-intensive and a major production bottleneck.
Our flagship 5-Axis CNC Fettling Grinders automate this process. They help foundries increase output, deliver consistent surface quality and make the shop floor much safer. We also supply degating hammers, runner bar cutters, wedge cutters and other foundry equipment, along with spare parts and consumables for around 28 machine models. These replace manual separation of castings with hammers and picks.
We work with international manufacturing partners to bring proven technology to Indian foundries, and we back it with local sales, installation and after-sales support.
