Role Description

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Long-Form Video Editor Intern to join our content team on a part-time, remote basis.

The selected candidate will be responsible for editing long-form videos, typically ranging from 10–30 minutes, for YouTube and other digital platforms. The role involves transforming raw footage into engaging, well-paced videos that communicate ideas effectively and maintain audience interest.

You will work on educational, informational, and professional content related to workplace rights, employment issues, labour laws, career guidance, and workplace strategy.

The ideal candidate should understand visual storytelling, audience retention, and content presentation,



with the ability to turn raw footage into polished videos aligned with our brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit long-form YouTube videos, typically 10–30 minutes in length.
- Organize raw footage and create structured, engaging, story-driven edits.
- Incorporate captions, text overlays, transitions, graphics, and relevant visual elements.
- Use B-roll footage, stock visuals, and supporting graphics to improve engagement and clarity.
- Maintain effective pacing, storytelling, and audience retention throughout videos.
- Perform basic colour correction, audio balancing, and sound enhancement.
- Create professional titles, lower thirds, and simple motion graphics.
- Repurpose long-form content into shorter clips, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts when required.
- Follow brand guidelines and incorporate feedback to improve content quality.
- Maintain organized project files, folders, and editing assets while meeting agreed deadlines.
- Contribute creative ideas to improve video presentation, storytelling, and overall content quality.

Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency in at least one video-editing tool, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut.
- Understanding of video storytelling, pacing, transitions, and audience engagement.
- Ability to create clean, professional edits using captions, graphics, text overlays, and visual effects.
- Basic understanding of colour correction,



audio editing, and sound balancing.
- Familiarity with B-roll footage, stock visuals, and supporting graphics.
- Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and incorporate feedback.
- Interest in YouTube content creation, digital media, educational videos, interviews, or other long-form formats.

A portfolio or sample edits demonstrating your video-editing skills are strongly preferred.

Candidates with strong practical skills and creative potential are encouraged to apply. Formal qualifications in film, media, communication, or design are not mandatory if you can demonstrate your abilities through your work.
