Adani Group is looking for an experienced Contract Management qualified to lead end-to-end contract execution and commercial governance for its Coal Trading Business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead end-to-end execution of domestic and international coal and natural resource commodity contracts from deal confirmation to contract closure.
2. Review, negotiate, and administer Sale & Purchase Agreements (SPA), Framework Agreements, Spot Contracts, and Long-Term Supply Agreements.
3. Ensure compliance with contractual terms relating to pricing formulas, quality specifications, quantity tolerance, laytime, demurrage/dispatch, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
4. Drive post-award contract execution activities, ensuring fulfillment of all contractual obligations by customers, suppliers, and service providers.
5. Manage commercial risk assessment by identifying contractual, financial, operational, and market-related exposures.
6. Lead contract amendment management, waiver approvals, deviations, claims, counterclaims, and dispute resolution processes.
7. Coordinate with Trading, Operations, Shipping, Logistics, Finance, Legal, and Quality teams for seamless contract execution.
8. Monitor vessel nominations, shipment schedules,



cargo movement, delivery performance, and contractual milestones.
9. Ensure timely preparation and verification of shipping and commercial documents, including BL, Invoice, COO, CQ, Packing List, and Customs documentation.
10. Manage customer and supplier invoicing, payment tracking, receivables, payables, and contract settlements.
11. Oversee Trade Finance operations including LC opening, amendments, document negotiation, collections, BGs, SBLCs, and payment securities.
12. Handle commercial claims related to quantity shortages, quality disputes, delivery delays, demurrage, force majeure, and non-performance issues.

Desired Profile

- 10+ years of experience in Contract Management, Contract Execution, Commercial Operations, or Commodity/Coal Trading.
- Strong exposure to high-value domestic and international trading contracts.
- Expertise in Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), Incoterms, Claims Management, Trade Finance, and Commercial Risk Management.
- Experience in Coal, Mining, Commodities, Energy, Metals, Bulk Cargo, or Trading businesses preferred.
- MBA/PGDM preferred.
