Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Korean Translator role located in the Greater Chennai Area.

The Korean

Translator will support communication between Korean and Indian teams by translating documents, emails, technical specifications, and reports from Korean to English (and vice versa) with high accuracy. The role includes interpreting during meetings, conference calls, and site visits, ensuring smooth real-time communication among stakeholders. The translator will work closely with production, quality, and management teams to clarify instructions, policies, and project requirements, while maintaining confidentiality and consistency of terminology.





Daily responsibilities also include preparing bilingual materials, reviewing existing translations for accuracy, and coordinating with colleagues to resolve language or cultural misunderstandings.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Korean and English, with the ability to translate and interpret clearly and accurately in both directions.
- Knowledge of automotive or manufacturing terminology, or willingness and ability to learn technical vocabulary relevant to automotive seating.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including attention to detail and consistency in grammar, style, and terminology.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Chennai Area, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience as a translator or interpreter, preferably in an industrial or corporate setting, is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in languages, translation, international studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity when facilitating communication between Korean and Indian stakeholders.
- Proficiency with common office software tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software) and basic documentation practices.
