About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Inventory Controller to manage and monitor warehouse inventory, maintain accurate stock records, and ensure effective inventory control procedures.
The selected candidate will undergo 2 months of training in Calicut, Kerala, before being assigned to the permanent work location in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The role involves tracking stock movements, conducting physical stock verification, reconciling inventory records, identifying discrepancies, and coordinating with warehouse, purchase, supply chain, finance, and operations teams.
The ideal candidate should have relevant inventory or warehouse experience, strong numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in both Hindi and English.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock.
- Monitor daily stock receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and adjustments.
- Verify received goods against invoices, purchase orders, and delivery documents.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with system records.
- Identify and report stock shortages, excess stock, damages, and inventory discrepancies.
- Update inventory records accurately in ERP software and MS Excel.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with relevant teams for timely replenishment.
- Maintain proper documentation for all inventory movements.
- Ensure proper SKU-wise inventory tracking, identification, and stock arrangement.
- Track damaged, defective, returned, and non-moving inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and stock verification.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports as required.
- Coordinate with the Purchase, Supply Chain, Marketplace, Finance, Warehouse, and Operations teams.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure adherence to company SOPs and stock control procedures.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and coordinate with the concerned teams to resolve them.
- Support warehouse operations and other inventory-related activities assigned by the HOD/Manager.
Requirements & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, stock control, or a related field is mandatory.
- Candidates with 2+ years of relevant experience will be preferred.
- Speaking skills in both Hindi and English are mandatory.
- Experience in e-commerce inventory or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and inventory management systems.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management software is an advantage.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Valuable organizational, documentation, and coordination skills.
- Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Willingness to complete the 2-month training period in Calicut, Kerala, and subsequently relocate/work in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
- Immediate joiners will be given preference.
Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with experience in e-commerce inventory management, Amazon warehouse operations, SKU-level stock tracking, stock reconciliation, ERP-based inventory management, and inventory audits will be preferred.
Candidates who can independently manage inventory records, communicate effectively in Hindi and English, and ensure accurate stock control will be highly preferred.
