Company Description
EVtron Tech is a startup focused on designing, manufacturing, and deploying electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions for logistics fleets, factories, and commercial facilities.
Our mission is to accelerate India’s transition to sustainable mobility through reliable EV charging hardware, smart charging software, and turnkey deployment solutions.
We manufacture our own EV chargers and develop an in-house Charging Management System (CMS) that enables operators to monitor and manage charging infrastructure through web and mobile platforms.
Role Description
We are looking for an EV Charger Installation & Field Service Engineer to join our growing team and support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of EV charging infrastructure across customer locations.
This is a hands-on technical role suited for diploma holders and ITI candidates with an interest in electrical systems, troubleshooting, and emerging EV charging technology.
The role involves personally carrying out basic installation and troubleshooting activities, coordinating with electricians and electrical contractors, verifying installation quality, commissioning chargers, and resolving technical issues at customer sites. You will also work with our engineering team to diagnose charger-related issues and perform basic firmware flashing and configuration using a laptop.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in the field, willing to learn how EV charging systems operate, and capable of taking ownership of technical issues until they are resolved.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission EV chargers at customer locations, including logistics fleets, factories, and commercial facilities.
- Coordinate with electricians and contractors to ensure safe, timely, and quality installation.
- Inspect sites for electrical readiness, including wiring, cable routing, earthing, protection devices, and charger mounting.
- Perform basic electrical installation, testing, and troubleshooting wherever required.
- Diagnose charger issues related to power supply, charging interruptions, connectivity, and configuration.
- Understand EV charging fundamentals and identify whether issues originate from the charger, electrical installation, vehicle, or Charging Management System (CMS).
- Use a laptop to perform basic firmware flashing, charger configuration, and software updates using company-provided tools.
- Verify charger connectivity with the CMS and assist with charging session testing and commissioning.
- Coordinate with customers and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues, including remote troubleshooting with electricians.
- Support preventive maintenance, service visits, warranty assessments, and installation audits.
- Maintain site photographs, installation checklists, commissioning reports, and service records.
- Follow electrical safety procedures and ensure installations comply with company standards and applicable requirements.
Desired Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline. ITI Electrician candidates with relevant experience may also apply.
- 0–2 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, field service, or commissioning. Freshers with strong practical aptitude are welcome.
- Basic understanding of single-phase and three-phase systems, wiring, earthing, MCBs, distribution boards, and electrical safety.
- Basic laptop and computer skills, with a willingness to learn firmware flashing, device configuration, and diagnostic tools.
- Valuable troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues methodically.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work with customers, electricians, contractors, and internal teams.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and perform hands-on fieldwork as required.
- Experience in EV charging, solar installations, industrial electrical systems, electrical testing tools, or basic network troubleshooting is an added advantage. A valid two-wheeler driving licence is preferred.
It's a Plus If You Have
