Role Description The Import Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day import operations, including coordinating inbound shipments, preparing and verifying import documentation, and ensuring compliance with customs and international trade regulations.

The Import

Specialist will liaise with carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to track shipments, resolve delays, and optimize transit times. The role also involves handling customer inquiries related to import consignments, updating internal systems with shipment status, and supporting export and import-export processes as needed.

Specialist will work closely with the operations and customer service teams to maintain high service standards and support continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Import and Import Export, with experience managing end-to-end import processes and documentation.
- Candidates should possess skills in Export and International Trade, including familiarity with global trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills, with the ability to handle client queries, provide shipment updates, and resolve issues professionally.
- Working knowledge of logistics or supply chain operations, particularly in express or courier services, is highly beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using logistics or ERP systems and standard office software for documentation and reporting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- A diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, commerce, or a related field is preferred; relevant industry certifications are an advantage.
