Vikrama Heritage Resort Pavagadh is a 4-star heritage property set at the foothills of Pavagadh, Gujarat. The resort combines heritage-inspired architecture and warm hospitality with modern comfort. It offers heritage rooms, havelis with private pools, a spa, our signature restaurant 762 Iksana, and dedicated wedding and event spaces.

We are in an exciting growth phase and we are looking for an HR Manager who wants to build the people function from the ground up and shape the culture of a landmark property in the region.

The Role

This is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at the resort near Halol.

As HR Manager, you will lead every stage of the employee journey, from hiring to exit. During pre-opening you will drive large-scale recruitment and set up HR systems, processes and compliance. Once we open, you will build a motivated, well-trained team that delivers the highest service standards.

Pre-Opening Responsibilities

- Plan and drive recruitment across all departments, including job postings, sourcing, interviews, offers and joining formalities
- Implement and refine the resort’s HR policy manual, employee handbook and code of conduct
- Set up attendance, leave and payroll systems, and maintain personnel files from day one
- Register and set up statutory compliance, including PF, ESI, Professional Tax, the Shops & Establishments Act and labour welfare requirements
- Plan induction, orientation and pre-opening training programmes with department heads
- Organise staff accommodation, staff cafeteria and uniform allocation

Operational Responsibilities





- Manage monthly payroll inputs, statutory deductions, filings and returns
- Ensure compliance with Gujarat labour laws, minimum wages, gratuity, bonus and POSH requirements
- Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary procedures and counselling
- Run performance appraisals, probation reviews and confirmation processes
- Track manpower budgets, attrition and training hours, and report to management
- Plan staffing for peak wedding season, including manpower from outsourced agencies
- Drive employee engagement, recognition programmes and staff welfare activities
- Manage staff accommodation and maintain discipline and hygiene standards there

What We’re Looking For

- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in hotels or resorts, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Pre-opening or large-scale hiring experience is a robust advantage
- Sound working knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance
- Hands-on experience with payroll and HRMS software
- Excellent communication in English and Hindi, with Gujarati an advantage
- A fair, approachable and firm style in handling people matters
- An MBA/PGDM in HR or a related field is preferred

Compensation & Benefits

- Salary: ₹4,80,000 – ₹5,00,000 per annum (CTC), based on experience
