About the organization:

Rainbow Homes Program – ARUN aims to protect, care for, educate, and empower our most disadvantaged children. These include children who live on city streets; orphaned, abandoned, and violence-affected children; working children; children of farmer suicide and starvation families; and children of sex workers. We strive to ensure that these children access their rights in loving, open, and safe residential care homes in government schools and buildings, and for them to grow into happy, responsible, and caring citizens.

Key Responsibilities:

· It is a residential position.

· Responsible for management of one boys' home

· Program planning and implementation with the support of other team members.

· Establish personal rapport with children and ensure their emotional and psychological well-being

· Support in frequent engagement of children among themselves and establish good and homely relations among themselves with an already designed and innovative program

· Facilitate and support children to follow up their timely routine

· Maintain records and registers and prepare a list of Home requirements

· Maintain smooth and effective communication between the children and other staff members

· Conduct regular assessment of children on designed and planned parameters





· Maintain and monitor the record of the performance data of each child

· Extend support and cooperation to other team members of the Home as and when necessary

· Taking care of children's education

· Developing activities that promote literacy and math concepts

· Ensuring that the facility and all equipment are clean, well-maintained, and secure

· Establishing policies and procedures, including disciplinary policies

· Building children’s self-esteem through positive guidance and nurturing

· Providing support to the Home Management Coordinator as when necessary

· Reporting to the Home Management Coordinator.

Required Competencies:

· Graduation / Diploma in teaching or B.Ed.

· Ability to work with diverse teams and a good team player

· High quality writing and communication skills

· Good team player and demonstrated ability to work with teams

· Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently & managing emergency situations

· Language proficiency in Tamil and English is essential

Salary: Commensurate with experience and skills, up to Rs. 15000 per month.
