About the Role

Chanakya University invites applications from experienced and passionate educators to join its Civil Services Examination Preparation (CSEP) programme as freelance faculty. The programme integrates UPSC preparation with undergraduate education, helping students build strong conceptual foundations, analytical abilities and awareness of governance and public affairs alongside their degree.

We are looking for subject experts who can make complex topics accessible, connect classroom learning with contemporary developments, and prepare students for the demands of competitive examinations.

Areas of Expertise

Faculty with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply:

- Indian Polity and Constitution
- Indian Economy and Economic Development
- History of India and the World
- Indian and World Geography
- Environment and Ecology
- Science and Technology
- Governance, Social Justice and International Relations
- Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude
- Current Affairs and General Studies
- CSAT, answer writing and examination strategy

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, structured classes aligned with the UPSC Civil Services Examination syllabus.
- Develop students’ conceptual understanding, analytical thinking and application-based learning.




- Integrate current affairs with static portions of the syllabus.
- Prepare teaching materials, practice questions, assignments and assessments.
- Support Prelims and Mains preparation through MCQs, answer-writing exercises and discussions.
- Participate in academic planning and provide feedback on student progress.

Desired Profile
- Strong command of the relevant subject and familiarity with the UPSC CSE syllabus and examination pattern.
- Prior experience teaching UPSC or other competitive examination aspirants is preferred.
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and engage undergraduate learners.
- A commitment to rigorous, student-centred and outcome-oriented teaching.
- Civil services preparation, examination experience or relevant academic/professional qualifications would be an advantage.

Engagement Details This is a freelance teaching chance, with assignments based on subject requirements, academic schedules and mutual availability. The engagement may include classroom lectures, workshops, mentoring sessions, assessments and academic content development.
