About MantraCare

MantraCare is looking for a qualified and experienced Ophthalmologist specializing in Retina and/or Oculoplasty to join its eye care services team. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical expertise, surgical experience, and a patient-focused approach to delivering quality eye care.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage retinal disorders, including diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and macular diseases.

Evaluate and treat patients with ophthalmic conditions requiring retinal or oculoplastic care.

Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries as per the candidate’s specialization and clinical privileges.

Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans.

Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care and follow-ups.

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with clinical protocols.

Counsel patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, surgical procedures, and outcomes.

Collaborate with other ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

Required Qualifications





MBBS from a recognized medical institution.

MS/DNB in Ophthalmology or an equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification.

Fellowship or specialized training in Retina and/or Oculoplasty preferred.

Valid medical registration with the relevant medical council.

Demonstrated clinical and surgical expertise in the relevant specialization.

Surgical Experience Requirements

Candidates must have independently performed the following surgeries:

Phacoemulsification (Phaco): Minimum 500 surgeries.

Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS): Minimum 500 surgeries.

Note: These surgical experience requirements should be confirmed as applicable to the final role, particularly for candidates specializing in Retina or Oculoplasty.

Required Skills

Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.

Excellent patient communication and counselling abilities.

Expertise in the relevant ophthalmic subspecialty.

Strong attention to patient safety and clinical quality.

Ability to work collaboratively with the medical team.
