Role Description The Electrical BIM Modeler is a full time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for developing and maintaining detailed electrical Building Information Models for construction and engineering projects. This role includes creating and updating 3D models and 2D construction drawings for electrical systems, coordinating with MEP and architectural teams, and ensuring that designs align with project specifications, standards, and codes. The Electrical BIM Modeler will collaborate closely with project engineers, architects, and other BIM modelers to resolve design conflicts, support clash detection, and maintain accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle.





Daily tasks also involve preparing shop drawings, revising models based on design changes, and contributing to project reviews and quality control.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and experience working as a BIM Modeler on electrical or MEP projects.
- Candidates should possess skills related to Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination, including integration of electrical systems within multidisciplinary models.
- Candidates should possess skills in reading, interpreting, and producing detailed construction drawings for electrical installations.
- Candidates should possess an understanding of architecture and spatial coordination to align electrical models with overall building design.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with hands-on BIM software experience (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with local and international electrical standards and codes, and prior experience in construction or engineering projects is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to quality and continuous learning in BIM methodologies.
