Through the Kabuni Premier League (KPL), we’re creating opportunities for young cricketers to progress through auditions, training camps and franchise teams, connecting grassroots talent with structured player development.

About the role

You’ll lead cricket coaching strategy and player development across KPL and its franchise academies. You’ll establish a consistent coaching approach, build and support the coaching team, and create transparent pathways for young players to progress.

This role combines strategic leadership with oversight of coaching quality, selection, player welfare and cricket resources.

Key responsibilities

- Set the cricket strategy: Develop the playing philosophy and coaching approach across age groups and franchises.
- Lead the coaching team: Recruit, manage and develop head coaches, specialist coaches and cricket support staff.
- Build player pathways: Establish clear development and progression criteria, supported by individual player development plans.
- Oversee selection: Lead or chair selection reviews,



ensuring decisions follow agreed cricket standards and processes.
- Plan the coaching programme: Coordinate training, fixtures, camps and competition preparation across the cricket calendar.
- Develop coaches: Deliver coach education, mentoring and opportunities for professional development.
- Manage resources: Plan and oversee cricket budgets, facilities, equipment and staffing.
- Review progress: Use coaching observations, match footage and available data to assess player development and improve delivery.
- Uphold player welfare: Work with safeguarding and welfare specialists to maintain a safe, supportive coaching environment.

What you'll bring

- A Level 3 or above cricket coaching qualification from BCCI, ACB, ECB or ICC.
- At least 10 years of cricket coaching experience, including leadership responsibility.
- Experience managing coaches and coordinating coaching programmes across teams or locations.
- Strong knowledge of youth player development, selection and progression pathways.
- Confidence using performance analysis to inform coaching decisions.
- Experience managing cricket resources and budgets.
- Clear communication, sound judgement and a commitment to safeguarding young players.
