Role Description The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and refining electrical and mechanical designs for products and components manufactured by KYUNGSHIN INDUSTRIAL MOTHERSON LIMITED. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, preparing technical documentation, supporting prototype builds, and collaborating with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. The role involves reviewing customer requirements, participating in design reviews, resolving engineering issues on the shop floor, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.





This is a full-time, on-site position located in Puducherry, with regular interaction across engineering and operations units.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust Design Engineering and Product Design skills for developing and optimizing components and assemblies.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering knowledge and proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D and 3D modeling.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering fundamentals relevant to electrical/electronic manufacturing environments.
- Candidates should possess ability to interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications, and prepare clear engineering documentation.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams on-site.
- Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field; manufacturing or automotive experience is an advantage.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM), quality standards, and basic project coordination skills.
