Role Description The Design Engineer (Bridge & Bearings Division) will work on-site in Bhopal in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design and development of bridge bearings, expansion joints, and related structural components. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing engineering designs and drawings, performing calculations and analysis for bridge and bearing systems, and using CAD tools to create detailed models and layouts. The role involves coordinating with production, quality, and project teams to ensure designs are manufacturable,



compliant with applicable standards, and aligned with client specifications.

The Design

Engineer will support bid and project documentation, assist in technical evaluations, and participate in design reviews and site-related technical discussions. The position also requires maintaining accurate records, adhering to safety and quality guidelines, and contributing to continuous improvement in design processes and product performance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust skills in Design Engineering and Product Design, with experience in structural or mechanical components for bridges and infrastructure.
- Candidates should possess solid Mechanical Engineering knowledge, including materials, structural behavior, and manufacturing processes relevant to bearings and expansion joints.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for creating detailed drawings and 3D models.
- Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of Electrical Engineering principles where applicable to bridge and bearing systems or related components.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge of relevant national and international standards for bridges, bearings, and expansion joints (e.g., IRC, IS codes) is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in calculations, drawings, and documentation.
