Role: Data Architect

Location : Hyderabad - Hybrid

Roles and Responsibilities: :The Data Architect owns the end-to-end design of our GCP data platform. You will set the target architecture, data models and standards, guide a team of data engineers, and act as the technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities • Define the target data architecture on GCP: ingestion, storage, processing, serving and governance layers.

- Design lakehouse and warehouse solutions using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, BigLake and Dataplex.
- Design batch and streaming pipelines with Dataflow (Apache Beam), Dataproc (Spark), Pub/Sub and Datastream.
- Lead conceptual, logical and physical data modelling (dimensional, Data Vault, medallion).
- Plan and lead migrations from on-premise or other clouds (Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, Snowflake, Redshift) to BigQuery.
- Set standards for orchestration (Cloud Composer / Airflow), CI/CD, infrastructure as code (Terraform) and code quality.
- Define data governance, lineage, cataloguing and data-quality frameworks using Dataplex and Data Catalog.
- Design security: IAM, VPC Service Controls, CMEK encryption, column- and row-level security, DLP for PII.
- Optimise BigQuery cost and performance: partitioning, clustering, slot reservations,



materialised views.
- Enable analytics and AI/ML use cases with Looker, Vertex AI and BigQuery ML.
- Mentor data engineers, review designs and code, and run architecture reviews.
- Work with business stakeholders to turn requirements into solution designs, estimates and roadmaps.

Required skills • Deep hands-on expertise in BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer and Cloud Functions / Cloud Run.

- Strong SQL and Python; working knowledge of Java or Scala.
- Proven experience delivering at least 2 large-scale data platforms or migrations on GCP.
- Robust data modelling and data warehousing fundamentals.
- Experience with Terraform, Git and CI/CD (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions or Jenkins).
- Solid understanding of data governance, security and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA or similar).
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills; able to present architecture to technical and business audiences. Nice to have • Experience with dbt, Dataform, Apache Kafka or Spark Structured Streaming.
- Exposure to multi-cloud (AWS / Azure) data services.
- Experience with GenAI / LLM data pipelines on Vertex AI.
- Pre-sales or solution proposal experience.
