About the RoleUVA VEC is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Copywriter Intern with strong Sinhala and English language skills to help us create clear, engaging, and meaningful content for websites and digital platforms.

If you enjoy writing, have a valuable command of both languages, and can turn ideas into words that connect with people, we'd love to hear from you! Knowledge of Tamil will be an added advantage.

What You'll Do

- Write and edit website copy, including landing pages, service descriptions, and company profiles.
- Create engaging content for digital platforms and marketing materials.
- Write and adapt content in Sinhala and English, ensuring natural language and the right tone for each audience.
- Research topics and develop clear, reader-friendly content.
- Proofread and edit content for grammar, spelling, clarity, and consistency.
- Work with the team to develop content ideas and improve existing website content.
- Use AI writing tools where appropriate to support research, drafting, and editing while maintaining originality and quality.

What We're Looking For
- Strong Sinhala and English writing skills.
- Good grammar, spelling, and sentence construction in both languages.




- Tamil language proficiency will be an added advantage.
- The ability to write naturally and adapt content for different audiences.
- An interest in website content, digital marketing, branding, or communications.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn and improve.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

University students, undergraduates, and recent graduates are welcome to apply. Previous copywriting experience is an advantage. A portfolio or writing samples would be helpful. What You'll Gain
