Axis, an established insurance & Reinsurance brokerage, is expanding its technical team and looking for an experienced Property & Casualty (P&C;) Underwriter based in India.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong insurance professional who wants to work with the UAE insurance market, gain international exposure, and contribute to a growing and dynamic insurance brokerage.

? What You'll Do

- Review and assess Property & Casualty insurance submissions, including new business and renewals.
- Analyze risk exposures, claims histories, underwriting information, and coverage requirements.
- Evaluate quotations, pricing, deductibles, limits, exclusions, and policy wordings.
- Prepare technical submissions and negotiate quotations, terms, and conditions with insurance companies.
- Support the placement of Property, Fire, Engineering, General Liability, and other commercial insurance lines.
- Coordinate with UAE-based insurers, underwriters, account managers, and business development teams.
- Prepare quotation comparisons, technical recommendations, and client presentations.
- Support policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and technical servicing.

? What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of experience in Property & Casualty underwriting or technical insurance operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of Property, Fire, Engineering, and General Liability insurance.
- Previous experience with an insurance brokerage or insurance company.
- Positive understanding of policy wordings, risk assessment, and insurance placement procedures.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with international teams.




- Willingness and ability to travel internationally, including to the UAE at least once every quarter and to other countries as required for business meetings, training, and professional assignments.

- UAE Travel: At least one business visit per quarter to our Dubai and/or Abu Dhabi offices.
- Other International Travel: Additional business trips to other countries may be required for meetings, conferences, training, and business development activities.
- Company-Sponsored Travel: All approved business-related travel expenses, including flights, accommodation, and other eligible travel costs, will be fully covered by the company in accordance with its travel policy.

₹12–18 LPA (Annual CTC)

Target package: ₹15 LPA, with flexibility based on technical expertise, GCC market experience, and qualifications.
