Role Description The Cloud Architect will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures to support IFI’s digital platforms and production workflows. This full-time remote role involves working closely with product, engineering, and media teams to translate business and content requirements into robust cloud solutions, including infrastructure, application hosting, data flows, and integrations. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and optimizing cloud infrastructure, defining architecture patterns, overseeing deployment pipelines, and ensuring reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.

Architect will also establish best practices for security and compliance, troubleshoot complex technical issues,



and provide guidance to development teams on cloud-native design and integration. Collaboration, documentation, and continuous improvement of the overall cloud environment are central to this role.

Qualifications

- Strong Solution Architecture and Architecture skills, with experience designing end-to-end cloud systems for high-traffic digital or media platforms.
- Hands-on expertise in cloud Infrastructure (compute, storage, networking) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
- Background in Software Development with proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js) and microservices design.
- Experience with Integration, including APIs, messaging, streaming, and connecting distributed services and third-party platforms.
- Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP), including security, identity and access management, monitoring, and cost optimization.
- Proven ability to design for scalability, reliability, and performance, using CI/CD pipelines, containers, and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving skills, explicit communication, and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and remote teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in media, entertainment, or fintech environments, and familiarity with high-availability, low-latency architectures, is a plus.
