Role Description The Audit Semi Senior will support and lead audit engagements for clients across diverse industries, working on-site in the Greater Chennai Area in a full-time capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing audit procedures, performing detailed testing of financial transactions and controls, and documenting working papers in line with professional standards. The role involves reviewing client financial statements, identifying audit issues, discussing findings with seniors and managers, and assisting in preparing clear audit reports and recommendations.

Senior will collaborate closely with client finance teams, ensure compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations,



and contribute to process improvements and risk mitigation. The role also includes mentoring junior team members, maintaining audit quality, and supporting other finance and consulting assignments when needed.

Qualifications

- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, auditing principles, and financial reporting, with the ability to apply them in practical client situations.
- Experience in statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance reviews, including planning, fieldwork, and completion of audit assignments.
- Proficiency in using accounting and audit tools (e.g., Tally, ERP systems, spreadsheets, audit software) and comfort working with data and analytics.
- Solid understanding of Indian taxation and regulatory requirements (e.g., GST, TDS, ROC compliance), and willingness to stay updated on changes.
- Clear, concise communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams, including report writing and presentation of audit findings.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and qualified skepticism to identify risks, control gaps, and irregularities.
- Ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple engagements, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, or pursuing such qualifications are an advantage.
- Relevant experience in audit or assurance (article-ship or firm experience preferred), particularly in consulting or professional services firms
