Role Overview:

We are looking for an investment professional to support the full investment lifecycle, from opportunity evaluation and transaction execution through closing. The role requires strong financial and analytical skills, the ability to understand businesses across sectors, and the judgement to evaluate both commercial upside and downside risks. The candidate should combine intellectual curiosity and attention to detail with a high-ownership, execution-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Investment evaluation and underwriting

•Analyse companies across sectors, including business model, industry structure, competitive positioning, management quality, unit economics, historical performance, cash-flow generation and key operating risks.

•Assess investment opportunities across structured debt and equity instruments, including return potential, downside scenarios, capital structure, security package, liquidity, repayment capacity and exit pathways.

•Build a clear investment thesis and identify the critical assumptions, risk factors, mitigants and value-creation levers relevant to each opportunity.

•Undertake primary and secondary research, sector benchmarking, peer analysis and management interactions to develop an independent point of view.

B. Financial analysis and modelling

•Build and review integrated financial models covering profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, debt schedules, working capital and scenario/sensitivity analysis.

•Analyse historical financial statements, quality of earnings, leverage, debt-servicing ability, covenant headroom, return outcomes and valuation under base, upside and downside cases.

•Prepare valuation analysis using relevant methodologies, including trading comparables, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow and transaction-specific return analysis.

•Ensure accuracy, consistency and auditability of model inputs, calculations and outputs.

C.

Transaction execution

•Support or lead transactions end to end, including screening, structuring, term-sheet evaluation, due diligence, investment committee materials, documentation, closing and post-closing actions.

•Coordinate with management teams, promoters, intermediaries, lenders, co-investors and other transaction stakeholders.

•Manage workstreams involving financial, tax, legal, commercial, technical, ESG and other diligence agencies, and synthesize findings into key issues, investment implications and protections required.

•Work closely with external legal counsel on transaction documents, conditions precedent, representations and warranties, covenants, security creation, governance rights, events of default and exit provisions.

•Maintain execution trackers, resolve issues proactively and drive transactions to agreed timelines without compromising analytical rigour.

D. Investment committee and communication

•Prepare clear, concise and decision-oriented screening notes, investment memoranda, presentations and approval materials.

•Present analysis and recommendations to senior investment professionals and respond to questions with well-supported data and judgement.

•Identify information gaps, challenge management assumptions constructively and communicate key risks without losing sight of the overall investment case.

•Qualification: MBA/PGDM with CA preferred; exceptional candidates with strong transaction experience will also be considered. Relevant experience in private equity,

private credit, structured finance, investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate finance or a comparable investing/execution role. Demonstrated experience analyzing businesses and financial performance across multiple sectors; experience should show depth of thinking rather than only process exposure

•Prior end-to-end transaction execution experience is strongly preferred, including coordination of diligence advisors and legal counsel.

·Experience: 3-6 Years; Experience in structured credit, special situations, private equity or complex/bespoke transactions will be an advantage

·Analytical depth: Breaks complex issues into their financial, commercial and legal components; tests assumptions and connects detail to the investment conclusion.

·Commercial judgement: Understands how a business makes money, what can go wrong and which risks can be priced, structured or contractually protected.

·Creative problem-solving: Thinks beyond standard templates and develops practical, transaction-specific solutions while remaining grounded in risk and return

·Ownership and execution: Takes responsibility for outcomes, follows through on commitments and remains dependable under tight and changing timelines.

·Attention to detail: Maintains accuracy and consistency across numbers, documents, diligence findings and transaction trackers

·Curiosity and initiative: Proactively seeks information, develops sector knowledge and forms an independent, evidence-based view

·Collaboration and maturity: Works effectively with senior professionals, portfolio management teams, advisors and counterparties; challenges constructively and communicates with clarity.

·Integrity and resilience: Demonstrates sound judgement, discretion, a solid work ethic and the ability to remain composed through demanding transaction situations
