Role Description The Associate General Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Chikmagluru, responsible for overseeing day-to-day hotel operations to ensure consistent guest satisfaction and efficient service delivery. This role coordinates front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and support functions, working closely with department heads to implement standards, resolve operational issues, and optimize workflow.

The Associate General

Manager monitors occupancy, revenue, and cost controls, supports budgeting and forecasting, and contributes to sales and marketing initiatives to grow the property’s performance. Daily responsibilities include supervising staff, managing schedules, guiding training and development,



ensuring compliance with safety and hospitality policies, and maintaining the heritage-focused brand experience. The role also involves engaging with guests, handling escalations, gathering feedback, and collaborating with senior leadership on continuous improvement and strategic projects.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in hotel or hospitality operations management, with responsibility across front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage functions.
- Strong leadership, team supervision, and people management skills, including performance monitoring, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in budgeting, revenue management fundamentals, cost control, and basic financial reporting for hospitality or service-oriented businesses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests, staff, vendors, and corporate stakeholders.
- Ability to manage daily operations in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and solve problems with a focus on guest experience and service quality.
- Familiarity with hotel management systems, reservation platforms, and standard hospitality procedures; comfort with using digital tools and reports.
- Experience working with heritage or boutique properties, or a strong interest in blending traditional hospitality with modern service standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
