We are seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Assistant Director of Alumni Relations to strengthen and expand our alumni engagement strategy. This role will lead initiatives that foster lifelong connections between alumni and the institution, increase alumni participation, support fundraising goals, and enhance the overall alumni experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute comprehensive alumni engagement strategies, including events, communications and digital outreach programs.
- Plan, organize and manage alumni events (reunions, networking sessions, chapter meetings, webinars and special gatherings) both on-campus and off-campus.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with alumni across different batches, geographies, and skilled sectors.
- Collaborate with the Development/Fundraising team to identify and cultivate alumni donors and support annual giving and major gift initiatives.
- Oversee alumni communications, including newsletters, social media content, website updates and success stories.
- Manage and grow regional alumni chapters and affinity groups.
- Track alumni engagement metrics, maintain accurate alumni data and prepare regular reports for senior leadership.
- Coordinate with academic departments, student affairs and career services to create meaningful alumni–student interaction opportunities.




- Represent the institution at alumni-related functions and serve as a key ambassador of the alumni community.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members or interns supporting alumni relations activities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Master’s degree in any discipline (preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field).
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in alumni relations, fundraising, event management, stakeholder engagement or higher education administration.
- Proven track record of planning and executing successful alumni or large-scale stakeholder events.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Experience in managing CRM/alumni databases and analyzing engagement data.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a rapid-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for events.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience in a higher education institution or non-profit sector.
- Familiarity with alumni engagement platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Experience in fundraising or donor relations.
