Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure &

- Wintel SME / Architect to lead the design, implementation, administration, and optimization of enterprise Microsoft infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud, Windows Server technologies, virtualization platforms, identity services, automation, disaster recovery, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

The role will act as the technical authority for Azure and Wintel platforms, providing strategic direction, architecture governance, operational excellence, and technical leadership across infrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Cloud Architecture &
- Operations

- Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure services.
- Define cloud migration and modernization strategies.
- Architect highly available, scalable, and secure cloud solutions.
- Manage Azure Landing Zones, subscriptions, governance, and policies.
- Implement Azure security controls and compliance frameworks.
- Optimize Azure resource utilization and cloud costs.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities within Azure.

Wintel Infrastructure Management
- Architect and manage Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022 and above).
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Certificate Services.
- Design and maintain high-availability Windows infrastructure.
- Lead Windows Server upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management activities.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and operating system issues.

Virtualization &
- Datacenter Technologies

- Design and administer VMware vSphere and Hyper-V environments.
- Manage virtual infrastructure performance, capacity,



and optimization.
- Support datacenter modernization initiatives.
- Implement infrastructure resiliency and high-availability solutions.

Identity &
- Security

- Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and hybrid identity solutions.
- Implement Conditional Access, MFA, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Zero Trust principles.
- Lead identity integration and federation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and audit requirements.

Backup, DR &
- Business Continuity

- Design backup and recovery strategies for cloud and on-prem environments.
- Implement Azure Site Recovery and disaster recovery solutions.
- Conduct DR drills and infrastructure resiliency testing.
- Define and monitor RTO/RPO adherence.

Automation &
- Infrastructure as Code

- Develop automation solutions using:
- PowerShell
- Azure CLI
- ARM Templates
- Bicep
- Terraform

- Streamline provisioning, monitoring, compliance, and operational activities.

Monitoring &
- Performance Management

- Implement and manage:
- Azure Monitor
- Log Analytics
- Application Insights
- Microsoft Defender
- Third-party monitoring tools

- Establish proactive monitoring and alerting frameworks.

Leadership &
- Governance

- Act as Infrastructure Architect and technical escalation point.
- Lead technical reviews, infrastructure assessments, and solution design workshops.




- Prepare architecture documents, HLDs, LLDs, and operational runbooks.
- Mentor engineers and technical SMEs.
- Participate in CAB reviews, governance meetings, and customer discussions.
