Job Description – Housekeeping Associate

Department: Housekeeping

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role at a hotel or resort.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Welcome guests courteously and respond to their queries and requests in a professional manner.
Clean and service guest rooms, including changing bed linen and making beds to the prescribed standards.
Replenish towels, toiletries, and bathroom amenities, including shampoo and soap.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, carpets, and other designated areas.
Dust, clean, and polish furniture, fixtures, and room accessories.
Empty waste bins and maintain cleanliness in guest rooms and assigned areas.
Replenish minibar beverages and food items as per the prescribed standards.
Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of public areas, corridors, and other assigned spaces.
Report maintenance defects, technical issues, and lost-and-found items promptly to the concerned supervisor.
Update guest room status accurately on the room assignment sheet or designated housekeeping system.
Ensure the proper use, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.




Maintain the cleanliness and stock levels of the housekeeping trolley and return it to the designated storage area at the end of the shift.
Follow established housekeeping SOPs, hygiene standards, safety procedures, and guest service protocols.
Coordinate with the Housekeeping Supervisor and Front Office team to ensure timely room readiness and guest satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Housekeeping Associate or Room Attendant in a hotel or resort.
Knowledge of guest room cleaning procedures, bathroom sanitation, and housekeeping standards.
Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and personal grooming.
Ability to work in shifts and meet operational requirements.
A guest-focused attitude with a commitment to service quality and teamwork.
