Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lathe Machine Operator to operate conventional lathe machines for manufacturing and machining of components used in heavy machinery, fabrication and solid-waste processing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Operate and set conventional/heavy-duty lathe machines as per production requirements.
Perform turning, facing, boring, drilling, threading, grooving, tapering and chamfering operations.
Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
Select and set appropriate cutting tools, speed, feed and depth of cut.
Properly mount and align jobs using chuck, fixtures and other work-holding devices.
Machine components such as shafts, bushes, rollers, sleeves, pins, couplings and other machinery parts.
Check dimensions using Vernier Caliper,



Micrometer, Dial Gauge and other measuring instruments.
Ensure components meet required quality, dimensional accuracy and tolerance.
Identify machining defects and make necessary adjustments/corrections.
Monitor tool condition and replace or adjust tools when required.
Perform basic machine cleaning, lubrication and preventive maintenance.
Maintain 5S, housekeeping and workplace safety.
Achieve daily production and quality targets.
