Role Description This full time, on-site Tool & Die Specialist role is based at Wings Technologies Hosur in Hosur. The Tool & Die Specialist is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and maintaining tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to support production operations. Day-to-day tasks include machining components to precise specifications, setting up and operating machine tools, troubleshooting tool and die issues on the shop floor, and performing preventive maintenance to reduce downtime. The role also involves collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve tool performance, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, and documenting work performed.



The Tool & Die Specialist may assist in training junior team members on proper tooling practices and safe operation of equipment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Machining skills, including operation of milling, turning, grinding, and related machine tools.
Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve tool and die issues in production environments.
Candidates should possess transparent Communication and Training abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide junior technicians.
Candidates should possess foundational Project Management skills to plan, prioritize, and track tooling tasks and maintenance activities.
Relevant experience in tool and die making, precision manufacturing, or mechanical maintenance is beneficial.
Technical diploma or certification in Tool & Die, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and technical documentation is advantageous.
