Job Description

We are looking for a Accountant to manage accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting for our two IndianOil (IOCL) petrol pump outlets.

Each outlet has a dedicated manager responsible for daily sales entries and operational reporting. The Accountant will independently verify the sales data, reconcile it with bank statements and payment records, and ensure accurate financial records across both outlets.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Verification: Verify daily HSD and MS sales, sales reports, stock records, and cash collections received from outlet managers.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with cash deposits, UPI, card settlements, and other payment collections.
Accounting & Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate books of accounts using any accounting software such as Tally Prime, Zoho Books, Busy, or other suitable software.
Profit & Loss: Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, expense reports, and financial summaries for both outlets.
GST & Tax Compliance: Handle GST returns, input tax credit reconciliation, and coordination for statutory filings and other applicable tax compliances.
Invoice Management: Track purchase invoices, sales invoices, payments,



outstanding dues, customer credit balances, and supplier balances.
Credit & Outstanding Management: Monitor customer credit sales, collections, overdue payments, and supplier dues.
Financial Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering sales, expenses, collections, bank balances, and profitability.
Error Detection: Identify discrepancies in sales, settlements, invoices, and accounting records and coordinate with outlet managers to resolve them.
Record Keeping: Maintain organised digital records of invoices, bank statements, GST documents, and supporting reports.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
Relevant experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
Working knowledge of GST, bank reconciliation, financial statements, and accounts receivable/payable.
Proficiency in Tally Prime, Zoho Books, Busy, or similar accounting software.
Positive Excel skills and the ability to analyse financial data.
Solid attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work independently.
