Role Description This full-time, on-site Commis I – Bakery and Pastry role is based at Radisson Blu Resort Visakhapatnam. The role involves assisting in the preparation, baking, and presentation of pastries, breads, desserts, and other baked items in accordance with established recipes and standards. Responsibilities include measuring and mixing ingredients, operating bakery equipment, maintaining product consistency, and ensuring items are produced on time for service. The Commis I supports senior chefs, follows hygiene and safety protocols, organizes mise en place,



and helps maintain cleanliness of workstations and storage areas. The role also includes collaborating with the kitchen team to support buffet setups, à la carte menus, and special events.

Qualifications
Strong food preparation and cooking skills, with foundational culinary skills in bakery and pastry.
Knowledge of hygiene, food safety standards, and proper kitchen sanitation practices.
Effective communication skills to work smoothly with chefs, kitchen colleagues, and service team members.
Relevant experience in a hotel, resort, or qualified bakery/pastry kitchen is preferred.
Basic understanding of ingredient handling, portion control, and presentation standards.
Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a fast-paced environment.
Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts, Bakery & Pastry, or a related discipline is an advantage.
Attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn from senior culinary professionals.
