Job Description: Subject Matter Expert (SME) Image Data & Writing

About the Project:

The Role involves collecting images from publicly accessible sources across six domains, including patent drawings, medical and satellite imagery.

Each image must have relevant metadata and a transparent, accurate written description to support AI training.

Key Responsibilities:
Identify and review relevant image sources for the assigned domain.
Collect and assess image samples, metadata, captions, and related information.
Write explicit and accurate descriptions for images.
Review AI-generated descriptions and identify errors, repetitive content, or generic

wording.
Rewrite or create descriptions from scratch wherever required to ensure quality and

accuracy.
Check descriptions for grammar, clarity, completeness, and domain-specific

accuracy.
Estimate data availability and recommend suitable sources for the project.




Support the development of writing guidelines and quality standards.
Flag potential licensing or source-access issues to the concerned team.

Required Skills:
Strong subject matter expertise in the assigned domain.
Excellent written English and strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Robust attention to detail and quality-checking skills.
Good research and analytical skills.
Comfortable working with online databases and spreadsheets.
Familiarity with AI tools is an advantage.

Preferred Experience: Experience in content writing, technical writing, scientific writing, annotation, or quality control is preferred.

Ideal Candidate: Someone who can independently review image descriptions, Identify weak or repetitive AI-generated content, and rewrite it into clear, accurate, and client-ready descriptions.
