Role Purpose

To monitor and ensure HSE compliance across highway O&M; projects, implement safety standards, and minimize risks associated with highway operations, maintenance, and emergency response activities.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor HSE compliance across highway O&M; projects, including routine maintenance, road repairs, traffic management, and emergency response.
Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, safety plans, and guidelines in line with applicable statutory requirements.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews across project sites.
Ensure implementation of traffic safety measures, work-zone safety, road signage, barricading, and PPE requirements.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate with project HSE teams, O&M; personnel, authorities, and other stakeholders to address safety-related issues.




Monitor HSE performance through MIS, dashboards, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
Conduct safety training, awareness programmes, and periodic reviews of HSE performance across projects.
Ensure compliance with applicable environmental requirements, waste management practices, and emergency preparedness plans.

Educational Qualification

B.E./B. Tech or Diploma in Engineering with a relevant HSE/Safety qualification preferred.

Experience

Relevant experience in HSE management for Highway / Expressway Operations & Maintenance projects, including site safety monitoring and corporate-level coordination.
