Role & responsibilities

Job Description:
Evaluate patients and provide appropriate medical treatment for various illnesses , emergency condition and injuries.
Responding to patients medical problems by referring to their history, carrying out diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and referral, where necessary.
Ordering lab tests and interpreting the test results.
Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
Collecting, recording, and maintaining sensitive patient information such as examination results, medical history, and reports.
Document all patient evaluations, treatments, medications and transactions according to hospital policies and procedures
Performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedure.
Explaining procedures or prescribed treatments to patients.
Liaising with medical specialists in the community and hospitals.




Promoting health education in conjunction with other health professionals.
Meeting targets set by the government for specified treatments, e.g. child immunization.
Discussing and evaluating recent pharmaceutical products with pharmaceutical representatives.
Keeping up-to-date with medical developments, treatment, and medication.
Teaching as per the timetable, and observing and assessing the work of trainee doctors and medical students.
Supervise junior doctors and faculty members to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
Evaluate effectiveness of current care methods and procedures and suggest improvements
Prescribe medication in accordance with state and Govt statutes.
Assist senior leadership in identifying and resolving workplace issues
