Location: Chennai Experience: 3-5+ Years Qualification: B.E./B.Tech - Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or related Open Position : 02 Role Overview We are looking for a DPA & DVA Engineer to support ATP products using virtual build and dimensional variation simulation to assess assembly feasibility, dimensional variation, fit, function and appearance before physical builds. Key Responsibilities - Perform Digital Pre-Assembly (DPA) feasibility checks for fitment, assembly sequence, accessibility, clearance, interference and installation/removal. - Conduct static and dynamic clash checks for parts, tools, fixtures, fasteners and the surrounding vehicle environment. - Perform virtual ergonomic checks covering operator reach, hand clearance, line of sight, posture, tool accessibility and assembly/service feasibility. - Interpret GD&T; per ASME Y14.5 and review datum schemes; identify Critical-to-Function (CTF) and Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) characteristics. - Perform dimensional stack-up and Monte Carlo/statistical variation analysis to predict gap, flushness and fit outcomes. - Validate simulation predictions against CMM, optical and laser scanning data and refine variation models. - Identify high-risk dimensional conditions and recommend design/process changes to reduce variation and improve fit and finish. - Support DFMEA, DVP&R;, PPAP,
virtual build and launch readiness reviews; prepare issue reports and track issues through closure. Mandatory Technical Skills - Strong knowledge of GD&T;, datum schemes and statistical tolerancing methods including worst-case, RSS and Monte Carlo. - Hands-on experience with DVA software such as 3DCS, VSA, CETOL or similar. - Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA, NX or Creo for datum and tolerance review. - Familiarity with CMM, laser scanning and optical metrology for simulation validation. - Good understanding of virtual build, assembly feasibility and dimensional variation analysis. - Strong analytical, problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills. Preferred Skills - Knowledge of Six Sigma / DMAIC methodology. - Familiarity with Teamcenter / Windchill and drawing release processes. - ASME GDTP certification is an advantage. DVA/Dimensional Engineering skilled with 3-5+ years of relevant experience, strong GD&T; and statistical tolerancing fundamentals, hands-on variation simulation capability and the ability to communicate dimensional risks and countermeasures effectively.
