- Assign daily tasks to labour — masons, helpers, bar benders, carpenters
- Ensure all workers follow safety protocols — PPE usage, barricading, toolbox talks
- Monitor material consumption and minimise wastage of cement, sand and steel
- Communicate engineer's instructions clearly to the workforce on site
- Maintain attendance register and labour muster roll on a daily basis
- Carry out basic quality checks — plumb, level, member thickness, cover blocks
- Report any accident, near-miss or site incident to the Safety Officer immediately
- Ensure availability and upkeep of tools, equipment and consumables on site
