An Electrician on an oil ship is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all electrical systems and equipment onboard to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations in offshore environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, including generators, motors, switchboards, and control panels
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of shipboard electrical equipment
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out timely repairs
- Monitor power distribution systems to ensure efficient operation
- Maintain lighting systems, communication equipment, and navigation support systems
- Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and electrical regulations
- Assist in emergency repairs during system failures
- Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections

Requirements :





- Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering or relevant field
- Experience in marine, offshore, or oil & gas industry preferred
- Knowledge of ship electrical systems and safety procedures
- Ability to work in harsh offshore conditions and long shifts
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Skills :

- Solid technical knowledge of electrical systems

- Ability to work in a team under pressure
- Basic understanding of automation and control systems

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
