# Job Description: Senior Lab Technician Job Title: Senior Lab Technician Location: Bangalore, Karnataka Industry: Hospital / Diagnostic Laboratory Experience: 3–5 Years Salary: ₹25,000–₹40,000 per month (negotiable based on experience) Employment Type: Full-Time ### Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Lab Technician to join our diagnostic laboratory team in Bangalore. The candidate will be responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory tests, ensuring the accuracy of test results, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the smooth day-to-day functioning of the laboratory. Key Responsibilities - Collect, receive, label, and process clinical samples such as blood, urine, stool, and other specimens. - Perform routine laboratory investigations in biochemistry, hematology, clinical pathology, and other relevant departments based on experience. - Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment. - Perform internal quality control procedures and assist with external quality assessment programs. - Ensure accurate sample processing, result documentation, and timely reporting through the laboratory information system (LIS/LIMS). - Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), biosafety protocols, and biomedical waste management guidelines. - Monitor reagent inventory, consumables,



and equipment maintenance schedules. - Identify and report abnormal quality-control results, equipment issues, and sample discrepancies to the authorized supervisor. - Guide junior technicians and support daily laboratory workflow. - Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with applicable laboratory quality standards. Educational Qualifications - DMLT or B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) preferred. - Equivalent recognized laboratory technology qualifications may be considered, subject to the role requirements. Required Skills - Strong practical knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures. - Hands-on experience with automated laboratory analyzers. - Knowledge of quality control, calibration, and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with LIS/LIMS and laboratory documentation. - Good attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills. - Ability to work in shifts, including weekends when required. Candidate Requirements - 3–5 years of relevant diagnostic laboratory or hospital experience preferred. - Experience in sample processing, analyzer operation, and quality control. - Candidates with supervisory experience or experience training junior staff will be preferred.
