Role Description The Survey Party Chief is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for leading field survey crews and ensuring accurate data collection for land and construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include planning survey assignments, setting up and operating total stations and other survey equipment, and overseeing topographic, land, building, and boundary surveys. The Survey Party Chief will verify field measurements, maintain detailed field notes, and coordinate with project managers and office staff to deliver clear, complete survey records. The role also involves monitoring crew safety,



training team members in proper survey procedures, and troubleshooting technical or site-related issues. The individual will ensure that all surveys comply with applicable standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
Qualifications

- Robust proficiency in land-related survey work, including Land Surveying and Topographic Surveys.
- Experience conducting Building Surveying and ALTA Surveys for development and compliance purposes.
- Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot Total Station and related survey instruments.
- Knowledge of survey principles, field methodologies, and basic geospatial concepts.
- Experience leading field crews, with strong organizational and team coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate field notes and survey documentation.
- Familiarity with survey software or data collection systems is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Willingness to work outdoors on active sites in Mumbai and adapt to varying field conditions.
