Job Description : Job Overview

The Art & Craft Teacher is responsible for fostering creativity and artistic expression among students in accordance with Central Board of Secondary Education guidelines . The teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons in visual arts, craft techniques, and design, helping students develop aesthetic skills and cultural awareness.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver art & craft lessons aligned with CBSE curriculum
- Teach various art forms: drawing, painting, sculpture, paper craft, and mixed media
- Encourage creativity, imagination, and self-expression among students
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and art materials in advance
- Organize exhibitions, competitions, and school art events
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress through projects and assignments
- Maintain discipline and ensure a protected, inclusive classroom environment




- Guide students in inter-school competitions and cultural programs

Qualifications :

- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts / Visual Arts (BFA) or equivalent
- B.Ed. (preferred for CBSE schools)
- Certification or diploma in Art & Craft is an added advantage

- Strong artistic and creative abilities
- Knowledge of various art techniques and materials
- Classroom management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students
- Basic knowledge of digital art tools (optional but desirable)
