We are looking for an experienced Costing Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in the sheet metal manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for product cost estimation, quotation preparation, raw material costing, vendor negotiation, purchase coordination, price list maintenance, and project follow-up to ensure accurate costing and timely customer delivery

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare accurate cost estimates for sheet metal components, machining parts, fabricated items, and assembled products manufactured in-house.

2. Review customer enquiries, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations.

3. Analyze Bill of Materials (BOM), material specifications, component quantities, and manufacturing processes for product costing.

4. Prepare and submit customer quotations based on approved cost calculations and follow up until receipt of Purchase Orders (POs).

5. Obtain raw material and vendor quotations, compare prices, negotiate rates, issue Purchase Orders, and ensure timely material delivery.

6. Coordinate with vendors regarding job-work materials, processing status, completion, and timely receipt of processed components.

7. Monitor project progress in coordination with production, procurement, and vendors to ensure material availability and on-time delivery.

8. Maintain and regularly update product price lists based on raw material prices, labour costs, processing charges, vendor rates, and other expenses.

drawing, dimensional, material, and specification changes and revise product costing and pricing accordingly.

10. Prepare and submit monthly sales and revenue reports to management on the first working day of every month.

11. Maintain enquiry registers, project review forms, customer satisfaction records, and other documents required for audits and quality management systems.

12. Identify opportunities to optimize material, manufacturing, and procurement costs without compromising product quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

· 3–5 years of relevant experience in costing and estimation within the sheet metal manufacturing industry.

· Strong knowledge of sheet metal materials, fabrication processes, machining, and assembly operations.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

· Experience in BOM analysis, product costing, quotation preparation, and vendor price comparison.

· Positive negotiation, analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

· Proficiency in MS Excel and costing-related documentation.

· Ability to coordinate effectively with production, purchase, sales, and external vendors.

Preferred Candidate Profile

· Male candidate with relevant experience in the sheet metal industry.

· Candidates who can join immediately will be preferred.

· Practical experience in manufacturing cost estimation, raw material procurement, and vendor management is essential.
