Position: Cashier/ Front Office Executive

Department: Front of House / Restaurant Operations

Reports to: Restaurant Manager

Job Summary: We are looking for a friendly, responsible, and customer-focused Cashier to join our Italian restaurant team. The cashier will handle customer orders, billing, cash and card payments, and provide excellent service while maintaining accuracy and a welcoming atmosphere.

- Key Responsibilities: Greet customers warmly and assist them with placing orders.
- Accurately enter food and beverage orders into the POS system.
- Handle cash, credit/debit cards, digital payments, and other approved payment methods.
- Prepare and present customer bills accurately.
- Issue receipts and process refunds or corrections as authorized.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer records and complete cash reconciliation at the end of the shift.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure orders are processed correctly.
- Answer basic questions about the menu, ingredients, prices, and promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter and front-of-house area.
- Follow restaurant hygiene, safety, and cash-handling procedures.
- Assist with takeaway and delivery orders when required.




- Handle customer concerns politely and refer complex issues to the Restaurant Manager.
- Support other front-of-house duties during busy periods.
- RequirementsPrevious cashier or restaurant experience is preferred.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Basic computer/POS system knowledge.
- Good numerical and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine or restaurant terminology is an advantage.
