We have a well established technical writing team, and are evolving our approach to content at JumpCloud. We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to lead, scale, and optimize our product and developer documentation. You will leverage cutting-edge AI documentation tools, prompt engineering, and contemporary automation to streamline content creation. Continuous Publishing: Integrate into automated CI/CD deployment pipelines using Static Site Generators (e.g., Content Generation & In-App User Guidance

Author, edit, and maintain clear, accurate end user documentation (API references, developer guides, user how to’s, configuration guides, and release notes) for IT admins and their teams.

Partner closely with Engineering, Product Managers, and Designers to translate UX designs, and technical specs into intuitive content.

UX Writing : Work with Design to provide copy and improve UX prototypes.

Test feature flags in the product, API endpoints, run sample code, and verify UI flows before publishing.

Design, test, and standardize custom prompts and prompt templates to accelerate process, information architecture, media, and content reformatting.

Human Quality Control: Act as the final filter for AI-generated outputs,



rigorously auditing content for technical accuracy, brand tone, hallucinations, and security compliance.

Experience: 4-7+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, Documentation Engineer, or Product Content Strategy Specialist in a SaaS or tech environment.

Hands-on experience using generative AI tools (LLMs, AI coding assistants, etc) and a working knowledge of prompt engineering techniques.

We want you to be able to catch subtle hallucinations, out-of-date parameters, or security risks in AI assisted drafts.

Hands-on, demonstrated experience building and targeting in-app messaging, guides, and analytics using Pendo (or comparable tools like Appcues, Userpilot, WalkMe).

Experience using Pendo to track documentation consumption and guide completion rates.

Experience training and refining AI models on internal style guides and technical glossaries.

Background in API design or developer-focused content strategy.

This can include documentation samples, AI prompts, demo video or video recordings of using AI to improve a process, examples of in-app notifications/announcements or onboarding flows, Git repositories etc.
